Effective 2 June 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Numerous Networks Limited (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use noversight.com, the nOversight apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and any training or professional services we offer alongside the product. nOversight is our product name; the legal provider is Numerous Networks Limited.
We aim to collect as little as possible. This policy is written in plain language and is not legal advice.
Who we are
Data controller: Numerous Networks Limited
Address: C/O Taxevo, 1 Cedar Park, Cobham Road, Ferndown Industrial Estate, Wimborne, Hampshire BH21 7SB, United Kingdom
Contact: support@numerousnetworks.co.uk (privacy and support enquiries)
What this covers
- This website (noversight.com)
- nOversight mobile and desktop applications
- Email and forms when you contact us, request enterprise information, or buy optional services (e.g. training) from us
- Our separate corporate site at numerousnetworks.co.uk is operated by the same company; where that site links here, this policy applies to your use of nOversight-related services
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not run a cloud service that stores your Wi‑Fi scan sessions by default
- We do not use your app data for advertising profiles
nOversight app data (important)
nOversight is designed for on-device use:
- Wi‑Fi measurements and session data are processed on your device unless you choose to export or share files (e.g. CSV, PDF, AirDrop, email attachment)
- We do not receive your walk-test or scan data unless you send it to us (e.g. support attachment)
- On iOS, optional Shortcuts integration collects metrics Apple exposes to Shortcuts; you control Shortcut permissions in iOS settings. Data flows from the Shortcut into the app on your device
- Subscriptions: iOS purchases are handled by Apple; Mac purchases are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. We receive limited purchase metadata from those platforms (e.g. subscription status), not your full payment card details
Website and contact data
We may collect:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email, message content | When you email us or use a contact form |
| Email, billing-related details | If you purchase training or services from us directly |
| Technical logs | Server/security logs from our hosting provider (short retention) |
| Analytics (optional) | If you consent to cookies, we may use privacy-oriented analytics (e.g. Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic — no cross-site ad tracking |
See our Cookie Policy for cookie details and your choices.
Legal bases (UK / EEA visitors)
Where UK GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on:
- Contract — providing the app, site, or services you request
- Legitimate interests — running and securing our site and apps, responding to enquiries, improving the product (balanced against your rights)
- Consent — non-essential cookies and some marketing where required
- Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information by law
How long we keep data
- Support and contact messages: typically up to 24 months, unless we need longer for an open issue or legal record
- Analytics: per our analytics provider’s settings (aggregate data only where possible)
- Purchase records: as required for tax and accounting (often 6 years in the UK)
- App session files: remain on your devices until you delete them; we do not hold them centrally
Sharing with others
We use a small number of service providers who process data only to provide services to us, for example:
- Apple (App Store, in-app purchases)
- Paddle (Mac sales and licensing)
- Hosting / email providers for the website
- CookieYes (cookie consent management)
- HubSpot (handles messages sent through our contact form)
- Analytics provider (if enabled and you consent)
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or security. If our business is transferred (e.g. merger), information may transfer to the successor under equivalent protections.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. UK IDTA, EU SCCs, or provider certifications).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also complain to the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email support@numerousnetworks.co.uk. We may need to verify your request. If you use Apple or Paddle for purchases, some data is controlled by them — contact them for billing-specific requests.
Children
nOversight is aimed at professionals. The site and apps are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small software business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; use the apps and site at your own risk for anything you choose to upload or send us.
Third-party links
Our site may link to third parties (App Store, documentation, community resources). Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
