A report someone else can act on

When a landlord, installer or IT team needs to see the problem, send them the evidence rather than a description. These pages come from a real report of a walk through a busy commuter station.

The cover gives the result in a sentence.
The summary sets each category against its requirement.
The map shows where each reading and finding was.
Each finding gets its own page, with a photo when one was taken.

What goes in

Your requirements

Results are judged against the design targets you set, at the level you choose (95% or 99% of readings). A miss says by how much.

The test, in context

Site, device, who tested, who it is for, the time window and your own notes. Unmeasured items say so; they never count as a pass.

Findings that need attention

Each one has its readings, a chart of the moment, the place on the map and any photo you took there, in time order.

What a report is, and is not

It records what one device experienced, where and when you tested. It is not a certificate for every device or every hour. If something changes, test again under similar conditions and keep both reports with their captures.

The station report above does not meet every requirement: roaming took longer than the 1-second maximum. A report says that plainly, which is what makes it useful.
